How the tag race works
- 1Win a tagBeat whoever's holding a tag during a round and it's yours to claim. Lower number is better.
- 2Tap or scanTap your phone to the tag, or scan the QR code on the back.
- 3Sign inEnter your phone number the first time — that's your name on the board.
- 4Claim itHit Claim. You land on the leaderboard instantly and the old holder drops off that tag.
You can only claim a tag you're physically holding — the tap or scan proves it.
League rules
- 1Join — $15Pay online to join the Oglebay Disc Golf Club tag league and get your numbered tag. Lower number is better — tag #1 is the one everyone's chasing.
- 2Play it at OglebayChallenge rounds have to be played on the Oglebay course to count.
- 3Agree on the roundAt least 9 holes, same layout, settled before you tee off — then play it all the way out.
- 4Better score takes the lower tagThe low score walks away with the lower number; the other player takes the higher one. A tie means the holder keeps their spot.
- 5Claim it right awayTap or scan the tag you won so the board stays current.
- 6Don't duck, don't sit on itAccept reasonable challenges. Go quiet for about a month and your tag is fair game.
- 7Honor systemThere are no officials out here. Play fair, call your own score, keep it fun.
